RETURN POLICY
Hardware Materials
At Garner Building Supply our goal is for YOU our customers to be satisfied. If you purchase a product from us and are not satisfied, simply return the product within 30 days to our location*. At the discretion of Garner Building Supply we will make repairs to your product, replace it, or depending on your method of payment and the presentation of a valid receipt, refund your money.
Garner Building Supply reserves the right to limit or refuse the number of returns permitted without a valid receipt. No credit will be issued if you have an outstanding check with Garners. We may also require a valid picture ID (state driver’s license, state ID or military ID), for any return. All returns are subject to the approval of the procedures set in this document.
*Hardware Materials Return Exclusions:
- No returns after 30 days
- No returns on Special Order/Non-stocked items
- If a packaged product, the item must be in its original package.
- Electrical components that must be wired-in (e.g. ballasts, thermostats, etc.) are not returnable once installed.
- The package must be in resalable condition. An item with a mutilated package will not be credited.
- Items that are broken due to user error, misused by manufacturer’s instructions, or incorrectly installed will not be credited.
Building Materials
To our contractors and home improvement customers, we work hard to see that you have the materials you need for your project and want you to be satisfied with your purchase. We understand that most projects involving building materials require returns of items not used. We are happy to process your returns and ask that you use common courtesy when the material is on the job site of seeing that it remains in sellable condition*.

- If a packaged product, the item must be in its original package.
- The package must be in resalable condition. An item with a mutilated package will not be credited.
- Items that are broken due to user error, misused by manufacturer’s instructions, or incorrectly installed will not be credited.
- Material that has been cut in any way, has saw marks, or nail holes will not be credited.
- Sheetrock, molding/millwork, doors and other items that weather deteriorates must be stored inside and under cover. Any water damage to product due to negligent storage will not be credited.
- Concrete mix, cement and other mix products must be covered on a pallet while on the jobsite. Any water damage to product due to negligent storage will not be credited.
- Please see that materials to be returned from a jobsite are stacked and easily loadable with a forklift.
- Please let us know as soon as possible when you need materials picked up as this reduces the amount of weather exposure and gives you, the customer, a greater chance of obtaining credit on resalable materials.
- Mud-covered or extremely filthy material will not be credited.
At Garner Building Supply, our goal is to keep you and your crew(s) productive and able to finish your project quickly and efficiently. We acknowledge that if you make money, we make money. The common courtesies associated with the building industry are not difficult to achieve. Please understand that our policies are put in place not to make matters more difficult, but to ensure the profitability of our company as well as yours.
